Millennium Rigid Wing Hang Glider For Sale

The time has finally come and the trusty Millennium is looking for a new owner. I suspect that most of you have seen it at various Denman trips over the years, but for those who haven't here are a few details:

The Millennium is a three axis controlled flying wing hang glider. It was manufactured by Brightstar Gliders in the US in 1999. Brightstar were also the manufacturer of the Swift, the Millennium is very similar concept, designed to be lighter and more portable. They were made from 1997 till 2003. My glider is serial number 31 (of 53 made) and was initially sold in Europe. I imported it into Australia from Switzerland in late 2000. Since then it has accumulated 140 logged hours airtime over 124 flights.

It can be footlaunched and footlanded relatively easily (even by me), although it needs a wide and open takeoff area to launch safely. It tows very easily indeed, both aero and winch. I would recommend at least some three axis experience in order to pilot it safely.

Performance and specifications:

Best glide: 17:1 (without fairing) estimated 18.5:1 (with open fairing) and 20:1 (fully enclosed fairing)
Best glide speed 32 knots
Min sink speed 25 knots
Vne 55 knots
Weight 48 Kg (50 Kg with ballistic chute)
Fairing weight 4.5kg (fully enclosed)

All factory ADs have been applied. Support form the factory is very good and spare parts are still readily available. Comes complete with recently repacked Second Chantz air powered ballistic parachute, two complete fairings, wheel brake, tow releases (winch and aero), roof rack cradle and wheeled cart for ground transport.

Asking $8,000 but open to offers. Email or PM me if you'd like more information or pictures.
